Speed is the distance traveled by an object in a certain amount of time. In this activity, students will observe one factor that affects the speed of falling dominoes.

What's Your Speed: Measure a distance of 5m or a distance of 25ft inside or outside. Ask a family member to use a stopwatch or a watch with a second hand to time you as you travel the distance you measured. Then, find your average speed. Find the average speed of other members of your family the same way.
